The Scientifically-“Proved” and Biblically Approved
Creation of the Universe From Nothing
Biblically-Dismantling Young-Earth-Creationists’ Anti-Science-Stance “You shall not [alter] the word that I command you.” (Deuteronomy 4:2)
In
regard to my title-phrase, “biblically-approved,” I judge the views of “Young-Earth-Creationism (YEC) that the Days of Genesis
1 (G1) are 24-hours each, entail a bait-and-switch illusion.
It is not frivolity that drives my paper
but rather the urgency to cancel its pseudo-claims that “poison the well” by illegitimately-subverting the biblically-valid
scien-tific grounds for God’s existence (pt.II). YEC’s depiction of G1’s days is demonstrably
false. Consider the facts: Although Leviticus 23:32 delineates calendar day
by: “from evening to evening,” G1 incoherently
closes all six “days” with the non-durational refrain, “there was
evening and there was morning.”
Notice then that NO 24-Hour-Day-Metric
ever appears in G1, and for that reason YEC’s adamant view on creation
days is irrelevant to my thesis.
At the very least, the fact of the lack (above) is sufficient
to annul YECs’ 24-hour-creation-days man-date since Genesis
1 glaringly fails to suggest, let alone substantiate, it.
In addition, YEC’s aversion to science defies the Bible’s view of science. They insist the world is less than 10,000 years old “because the Bible says so,” despite Scripture declaring instead that the witness of the cosmos is revelation of God’s power (Rom 1:18-20). The Bible never violates classical logic while it highlights hostile crowds becoming convinced of Jesus’ resurrection by having witnessed undeniable signs (Acts 2:22,32,41). Jesus urged us to follow evidence where it leads (John 14:11) and rebuked disciples who didn’t (Mk 4:40). While God in the Old Testament announced Himself with “Thus says the LORD,” it was solely by undeniable signs that He substantiated His claims (Ex.13:21f.).
The Scientific Case for the Universe Beginning From Out of Nothing
The growing body of scientific data today “proves beyond a reasonable doubt” that the universe came into existence out of nothing in a manner consistent with Genesis 1:1 which states, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” The technical synonym of the term, “proves,” defines “knowledge” as “justified belief” because no claim about physical circumstances can be fully proved. Neither the sciences nor biblical claims can be proved in the analytical sense. Yet because Courts of Law deal with consequential events as opposed to abstractions; criminal verdicts demand reaching full-resolution by a body of evidence validated as true “beyond a reasonable doubt.” Revisiting then my opening statement; does the claim of my paper’s title rest on sufficient grounds deserving our trust as a foundation sufficiently solid to stand on?
